Architects were faced by a complex challenge to uplevel a class of hotel. The reconstructed building was with height of 2,40 m from coupling to a ceiling. There wasn’t any opportunity to place the modern engineering equipment. But the customer asked to consider the project and, as a result, architects came to a conclusion that it is possible to make two-storeyed apartments: the living room became double-height and such rooms like kitchen and a bedroom remained low. Thereby it was succeeded to increase the level and prestige value of the project. And the lost total areas were managed to be compensated for the account of a superstructure of courtyard overlapping. As a result the general Technical and economic Indicators of the building didn't change.
